SEOGuys have not done any work in the "Gifts" niche of the internet for some time, though historically we have had a lot of success in it.  As far back as 1999 one of our team was working on a gift site that remains ranked in the top3 for its target search, some 6 years after we stopped working on it.  Another former client of another SEOGuys current staff member ranks at No.1 for their gift related search term.  But the SEOguys, have no gift clients.

So when we got an enquiry about taking on a new gift themed site – we were all ears.

So as of the 15th of October we are on the job, working for Redigifts with the aim of achieving a top 5 position for them for the keyphrase "Gifts".

Some of the issues were are working on are:-

a. Presentation of appropriate page headers – issues with use of 301,302 and 404 headers.

b. Duplicate content – duplicate within the site and with other sites.

c. Thin content – pages with not enough worth to satisfy Google they deserve to exist.

d. Lack of popularity which is to be expected – it's a new site.

Plus a lot more issues that we will be working on over the coming months.

But as of today, we are on the job.
