Do I need to pay a monthly fee to stay on Page one of Google?
Many sites don't need any further work from us.
In many cases, this is not essential and you have the option to pay NO monthly maintenance and only pay us if something unexpected happens, such as an attack on your site, a competitor suddenly starts doing lots of SEO etc,
Some of our clients have requested instead to have the option to take a maintenance and monitoring plan to ensure nothing happens to their hard earned rankings.
we offer several plans of maintenance and monitoring:
Beware!
Incredibly, we have seen sites offering expensive monthly maintenance plans. They offer no promises or guarantees, in fact the only thing they seem to promise is that you will get a monthly invoice! Initially, we did not understand how they could justify this. The we realised what the monthly fee was for.
The offerers of these plans are using the money to pay other sites to link to their client sites.
This in itself, is very dangerous. Google bans sites that sell paid links for the purpose of SEO, and will penalise sites that pay for them. It may work for a while till you or the linking site are caught but when this happens. Goodbye all rankings, on all terms for a long, long time, maybe forever. Even worse, if that is possible, is that if you decide that you can no longer justify the huge monthly maintenance plan… not only will the company you were paying remove the links to your site causing your rankings to plummet, they will likely sell them to a competitor who will see their rankings rise…. at least as until they are caught an penalised. Either way, you still lose, as the rankings won't return to your site no matter what happens to the competitor's site.
But does Google catch sites using paid links?
All the time. Its pretty easy for Google to spot them, and in many cases, they don't need to. Many webmasters check the back links of competitor sites and if they spot links that are clearly paid links, they tell Google and BAM goodbye rankings. You can be sure if we are working for you and spot a competitors' site scamming Google with paid links…. suffice to say we are not so strong on keeping such problems a secret from Google.
